OFFICIAL 2009 RACE CHARITY IS THE RAINBOW TRUST

Rainbow Trust Children's Charity provides practical and emotional support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. They support 1,000 families each year.

The charity has two respite houses in Surrey and Northumberland which provide a break for the whole family, allowing them to spend precious time together as a family.

Rainbow Trust's Family Support Workers join the family in their own home and are there to provide whatever practical support is needed. They may attend hospital appointments with parents, sit by the bedside of the sick child to give parents a break and take worried siblings out for the day.

STEFANO BALDINI WINS THE ASICS BRITISH 10K LONDON RUN FOR THE SECOND YEAR RUNNING!

Olympic mens marathon champion Stefano Baldini crossed the line in the 2008 ASICS British 10K London Run in a time of 30:06 to win the race for the second consecutive year.

FIRST FEMALE 2008 LORNAH KIPLAGAT

Dutch runner and world record holder Lornah Kiplagat was first female runner in this year's ASICS British 10K Run with a time of 32:13.
