WELCOME TO THE TENTH ANNIVERSARY ASICS BRITISH 10K LONDON RUN!

2010 marks the tenth anniversary of the nation's favourite London 10K road race, the ASICS British 10K London Run. Over the years the race has played host to some of the world's greatest athletes and raised millions of pounds for hundreds of charities and good causes through the efforts of runners from all walks of life raising sponsorship to run the race.
The race route is undoubtedly the most historic and sporting 10K route in the UK, running through the heart of historic London, passing many of London's world famous and iconic sights. These include Wellington Arch at Hyde Park Corner, St. James's Palace ( the former London home of HRH The Prince Of Wales and princes William and Harry), Trafalgar Square, the magnificent St. Paul's Cathedral (the venue for Royal weddings and state funerals), the unique London Eye, Big Ben, the world's most famous clock, the British Houses Of Parliament and historic Westminster Abbey (the site of royal coronations and funerals) before finishing on Whitehall, just past the entrance of 10 Downing Street (the official London residence of British Prime Ministers). The finish line is also close to the Cenotaph, where every Remembrance Sunday, the nation remembers those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defence of the realm.
Each year the race has been a sell out event, so enter now to avoid missing your chance to take part in this great tenth anniversary event! You can also run for one of the hundreds of participating charities. Click here to visit the charity listings.

THE OFFICIAL 2010 RACE CHARITY IS FSID

FSID (Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths) is the UK’s leading baby charity fighting cot death. In the UK cot death is the single biggest killer of babies over one month old.
Over 500 babies die suddenly every year leaving their family devastated, grief-stricken and bewildered. FSID helps heartbroken families through difficult times by providing specially trained Befrienders and a free Helpline.
FSID also funds ground-breaking research and promotes life-saving advice which benefits the 650,000 babies born each year in the UK: we want to give every baby the chance of a lifetime. To help us do this we need 1000 runners in 2010 raising a total of £100,000. Join our team today and run for SIDS babies - you can join our runners by selecting the option on the 10K entry form!
